Retrieval of Atmospheric Trace Gases and Ozone Variability with Iasi

چکیده

• The IASI-based retrieval of the atmosphere columnar amounts for CH4, N2O and CO with physical inversion (iterative) procedure exploited the measurements in the reduced set of IASI spectral channels and preliminary estimates (preceding retrievals) for the temperature and humidity vertical profiles • The problem of mapping and monitoring of the regional (primarily, over Europe) variability in the ozone columnar amounts and stratospheric mixing ratios using IASI and optionally SEVIRI data. Correspondent two-stage retrieval procedure totally exploited about 60 IASI channels and incorporated the regression-type and physical inversion phases will be applied • Methodological improvements of both retrieval procedures associated to the use of real IASI data should be also addressed
